Mustafa Babanli introduced the history and running situation of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. After the meeting, Mustafa Babanli and his delegation also visited the National Key Laboratory for Oil and Gas Resources and Exploration, the National Key Laboratory for Heavy Oil and the Apartment for Foreign Students.
Prior to this visit, Jeyhun Bayramov, minister of Azerbaijan Ministry of Education was invited to China to participate in the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and met with Chen Baosheng, minister of China Ministry of Education. Zhang Laibin and Mustafa Babanli also attended the meeting.
The Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University is a member of the Worldwide Energy University Network initiated by CUPB. Located in Baku, capital of Abu, the university was founded in 1920. It has seven colleges including geological exploration, oil and gas development, chemical technology, petroleum mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology and control, and economic management. It has more than 10,000 students, including 53 Chinese students.
