Mission and ambition
The CBM (Coalbed methane) research center is dedicated to conducting top-quality fundamental theory and technology research for the development of CBM. The research focuses on fundamental theory research (desorption theory, fluid mechanics in CBM, geological theory, and development theory), technology development (resource evaluation and sweet spot selection, drilling technology in CBM, stimulation technology, and production technology), and strategy research on CMB industry (strategy consulting, development strategy, CBM industry development planning, and CBM industry policies and regulations. Our research is based on the combination of Gas Engineering, Rock Mechanics, Production, Fluid Mechanics in Porous Media, Stimulation, Material, Chemistry, and strategy.
