Mission and ambition
The CUG group has the ambition to conduct top-quality fundamental research that focuses on the Oil and Gas Field Development Engineering, Theory and Application of Rock Mechanics, Petroleum Seepage, Production Engineering, Enhanced Oil Recovery, Petroleum Production Chemistry, and Theory and Technology of Unconventional Oil and Gas Exploitation.
Our research is based on the combination of Rock Mechanics, Reservoir Engineering, Theory and Technology of Coal Bed Methane Exploitation, Seepage Mechanics, Tertiary Oil Recovery Technique, Thermal Recovery of Heavy Oil Reservoir and Oilfield Development & Production.
Organization
The permanent scientific staff of TTD research group is 54 fte. The TTD group has one full-time Deputy Director, 22 professors, 27 associate professors and 7 lecturers. Program leader is Prof. Mian CHEN.
The TTD group has eight academic leaders:
• Rock Mechanics: Prof. Yan Jin and Guangqing Zhang
• Reservoir Engineering Theory and Technology: Prof. Hanqiao Jiang and Xiangfang Li
• Enhanced Oil Recovery Technique : Prof. Xiang’an Yue and Jirui Hou
• Theory and Application of Petroleum Seepage: Prof. Linsong Cheng
• Theory and Technology of Unconventional Oil and Gas Exploitation: Prof. Yan Song
